On my way to the post office in Letchworth Garden City this morning I was startled to find myself face to face with... ME! A life sized figure has been fashioned out of sticky tape - along with ten other figures of local and historical interest. It was a bizarre situation! And yet a rather a lovely honour. I particularly liked the "Mustard" Jacket (which I often wear, although the concept has been taken rather literally here with a jacket fashioned from Coleman's Mustard labels!)

This sticky tribute is the transparent work of Selina and Scarlett from the Letchworth Arts Centre, who helped me with the World War Two project in schools earlier this year. It is part of an ongoing project leading to an exhibition in April.
Other figures include Raymond Unwin and Barry Parker (architects of Letchworth), Nigel Hawthorne (who lived locally) and Annie Kenney, a suffragette. Happily I am one of only 2 out 11 who is still alive...
